Conversion vs. Validation
Conversion
You have the option to convert your foreign license to a European one, where the competent authority will issue you a new pilot license according to European EASA legislation, provided you meet the specified conditions. Due to the EU’s agreement with the USA regarding qualification recognition, transferring a pilot license issued under FAA regulations is fairly easy. We will guide you through each step to ensure the process goes smoothly.
Validation
Alternatively, you can opt for validation or acknowledgment of your foreign license’s validity for flying in Europe. In this case, you should present your foreign license alongside confirmation of its recognition—validation for flying in Europe. Validation primarily targets individuals seeking to fly in European airspaces for purposes such as time-building. Each validation is valid for one year.
