Aviation A&P Maintenance Manager
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Aviation A&P Maintenance Manager to join our flight school team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing aircraft inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures on aircraft types C152, C172 and PA44.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform repairs, component replacements, servicing, and adjustments.
- Complete maintenance records and required documentation accurately.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and applicable maintenance procedures.
- Assist with aircraft inspections and return-to-service requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate maintenance findings and aircraft status to management and other team members.
- Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
- Previous aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Must have reliable attendance and the ability to work the required schedule.
