Your Direct Path to the Cockpit

Pilot Training Overview

The 0–CPL program takes you from your very first flight to a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). This structured pathway covers the Private Pilot (PPL), Instrument Rating (IR), and Commercial Pilot (CPL) certificates, supported by regular stage checks and real-world airspace experience in Miami, Corona (CA), and Van Nuys (CA).

The Part 141 Advantage

Under our FAA Part 141 approval, you can earn your Commercial Pilot certificate with a minimum of 190 total flight hours, compared to the 250 hours required under Part 61. This ensures a faster, more cost-effective route to your career.

Two Ways to Learn

Virtual Classroom

For Part 141: Theoretical instruction is conducted simultaneously with flight training. Students can choose between group classes or individual one‑to‑one classes for on‑site theory.

  • Air Law, Procedures, Human Performance
  • Aircraft General Knowledge & Performance
  • Navigation, Meteorology, Flight Planning
  • IFR theory, radio navigation, approach plates
  • Commercial operations & decision‑making

On-Site (Part 141)

Instruction is conducted simultaneously with flight training. Choose between group classes or individual one-to-one sessions covering Air Law, Navigation, and Commercial Operations.

Virtual Ground Training

Train from anywhere with live, instructor-led sessions. Features interactive classes, stage checks, and exam prep that mirrors our on-campus experience.

From Zero to Commercial Pathway

1

Private Pilot License (PPL)

The foundation of your aviation career. Focuses on aircraft handling, navigation, and solo flight.

  • Minimum 35 hours (Part 141)
  • Solo flights, cross-country planning & night dual
  • Goal: FAA Knowledge Test + PPL Checkride
2

Instrument Rating (IR)

Master flying solely by reference to instruments. Critical for professional pilots.

  • IFR procedures, approaches & holds
  • Long IFR cross-country with multiple approaches
  • Goal: FAA IR Knowledge Test + Checkride
3

Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

Refine your skills to professional standards with complex maneuvers and high precision.

  • Advanced maneuvers & commercial procedures
  • Complex/Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) operations
  • Goal: FAA CPL Knowledge Test + Checkride

Skill Tests & Fleet

Cessna 172 Glass Cockpit

Training utilizes our modern fleet of Cessna 172s (G1000 Glass Cockpit & Analog). You’ll build strong stick‑and‑rudder fundamentals, master IFR, and demonstrate commercial proficiency through scenario‑based missions and stage checks.

Each phase culminates in an FAA knowledge test and a checkride with an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. Your instructors will prepare you with mock orals and practical evaluations.
