Flying Academy European Base

You are closer than you can imagine to achieving your dream. Our EASA Approved Training Centre – ATO – is situated less than two hours away from European cities such as London, Paris, Milan and many more.
Flying Academy’s European base can be easily accessed by direct cost-efficient flights from major cities in Europe and Asia.
The Czech Republic is the perfect location for both practical and theoretical training. In combination with our highly experienced Flight Instructors and competitive program fees, Flying Academy is the first choice of pilot training for future Professional or Private Pilots from all continents.

Transportation in Czech Republic

We can arrange a pick-up for you from the Vaclav Havel International Airport in Prague or any bus or train station. We will make sure to get you safely to the training base in Prague, or Brno.
If you arrive to the Vaclav Havel International Airport in Prague, and your desired destination is the Brno training base, our driver will help you to get the right bus or training connection from Prague to Brno, and the ticket (approx. 10 EUR). At the station in Brno another driver will be waiting for you, ready to take you to the base, or to the accommodation facility.
This service is free of charge for those coming for the first time.

Accommodation in Prague

You can choose between dorm-type accommodation or hotel-like single or shared rooms. The accommodation which we can arrange is in close proximity of the training base, approx. 10-20 minutes by public transportation.
If you prefer to book the accommodation on your own, feel free to do so.

Short/long-term accommodation:

Near to the Flying Academy´s training base in Prague, you can find for instance: the Hotel&Hostel Letov offering double rooms starting at 506 CZK/night (shared bathroom) or single rooms starting at 780 CZK/night.

Getting to the Vaclav Havel International Airport from Flying Academy Prague by public transportation:

  1. from the Letňany metro station, go to Prague Main Railway metro station (Hlavní Nádraží). The Bus to the Airport is #AE and leaves from the bus stop upstairs the Railway Station. To buy the ticket, use at ticket box at the Main Railway Station (40 CZK) or buy it directly from the bus driver (60 CZK). It takes 30 minutes to get to the airport.

  2. from the Letňany metro station, go to the “Museum” metro station, and then change to the green line metro A. Take the Metro A from the Museum station to the station Nádraží Veleslavín (in the direction of Nemocnice Motol). The Bus to the Airport is #119, leaves from the bus stop upstairs the metro.

To buy the ticket, use the ticket machine at the metro station (24 CZK) or buy it directly from the bus driver (40 CZK). You should purchase a ticket that’s valid for a minimum of 30 minutes. If you have a Czech phone number, you can send a text message with the text ‘’DPT 24’’ to the number 90206 and you will get the ticket by a text message. It takes 20-25 minutes to get to the airport.
